I Said Hi by Amy Shark

On 11 April 2018, Shark premiered a single called "I Said Hi" on Triple J before releasing the track the following day.

It was voluntarily promoted by comedian and digital radio show hosts Luke and Lewis using posters, megaphone and a large homemade sign hung up next to the Fox FM Melbourne station logo. This captured the attention of the singer-songwriter who promoted it on her own Instagram.

Shark says the song title was inspired by her retort to her managers when they would tell her who they had set up meetings with to discuss her future. The same people who had knocked back her emails and calls.

Shark told MusicFeeds: "It's an anthem for anyone who is waking up everyday fighting for what they believe in and challenging the universe!"

At the ARIA Music Awards of 2018, "I Said Hi" was nominated for four awards; with Dann Hume and M-Phazes winning the Producer of the Year for "I Said Hi". At the APRA Music Awards of 2019, the song won Pop Work of the Year and Song of the Year.
